such as it is:
Halloween in the Section was just another day. For what could be scarier than the
reality that the operatives lived on a daily basis. They lived, worked, and survived
for the survival of a haunted house, the Section.
Jurgen was determined to make this day different. To make a traditionally scary
day, like every day was in the Section, one of which Nikita would feel safe, loved
and happy. Of course Jurgen had taken this mission upon himself a lot lately, but
today being a ghoulish Halloween he wanted to give Nikita a special treat.
"Birkoff" Jurgen whispered into the phone.
"Yeah."
"Are Nikita and I scheduled to be at the Section this morning?" Jurgen queried.
Birkoff was aware of his situation with Nikita and because he loved both Jurgen and
Nikita could not be happier for the two of them.
"No, man. Enjoy the day off. Of course if something comes up you'll be the first
to know," Birkoff joked.
"Birkoff, I want you to call back here and tell Nikita she needs to come in."
"Why?"
"Lets just say it's a trick and treat."
"Ah. . .will do."
"Thanks Birkoff. I owe you. . .again."
"Man, I've told you keep Nikita safe and happy and anything I can do to help is
my pleasure."
Jurgen smiled and sighed gratefully. "Thanks Birkoff. Call in about 10 minutes."
"Okay. Nikita's, right?"
"Yeah, bye."
Jurgen could hear Nikita calling from the other room. "Jurgen, are you still here?
Is everything okay?"
Jurgen walked in the room. His naked body the first sight Nikita saw upon opening
her eyes for the day.
"Hi" Jurgen said as he bent over and kissed his love.
"Mmm. . .hi," Nikita moaned playfully.
"I'm getting in the shower, wanna come?" Jurgen looked at Nikita invitingly,
knowing she would.
"Of course" Nikita replied as she jumped out of bed. "Race you."
Ring, aling, aling. . .the phone erupted.
"Dammit," exclaimed Nikita, "I've gotta get that. Go start without me" she said
as she stroked him gently.
"Ok," Jurgen replied as he half feigned disappointment. He knew the call would be
forthcoming, yet the timing was not what he would have hoped for. Birkoff would pay
for this he thought.
"Jurgen, I'm sorry. I have to go. That was Birkoff and I guess I forgot about a
briefing or something. Anyway, I've gotta run. Will you be alright?" Nikita asked not
wanting to leave her lover in his current state.
"Sure, I'll be fine." He stuck his wet head out of the shower to kiss Nikita. She
peeked in and saw his muscular and glorious body dripping wet. For a second, she
thought, 'The Section will wait.' But she realized that Jurgen wasn't going anywhere.
This wasn't Michael. She did not have to settle for now because there may never be
another chance. She relished that feeling of certainty. Still, she would much rather
be briefed by Jurgen in the shower than Ops at the Section. 'Birkoff is going to pay
for this,' she thought.
"Okay. I'll see you later. Bye" She kissed him tenderly and the same time groped
him firmly. The feel of her hand made him stiffen.
"Oh, is this a trick or a treat?" She paused playfully. "hum. . .looks like both."
"You'd better go before you can't," Jurgen scolded playfully.
"I know. I'm sorry. Keep that thought, bye."
"Bye." Jurgen shook his head and smiled. Nikita was almost ten years younger than
he. He enjoyed that playfulness she exhibited. She made him feel young again. These
days he felt like a kid in a candy store. 'Candy, oh yes. That reminds me,' he
thought. 'I've got some things to do.'
Jurgen spent the day collecting a wonderful holiday surprise for Nikita. Black
candles, white roses, a carved pumpkin with a gorgeous silk teddy hiding inside. He'd
gone to the gourmet grocer to pick up the ingredients to make Nikita a wonderful
dinner. How time had flown throughout the day. Had he remembered everything? The
orange massage oil, the chocolate kisses to place on her and nibble off, the
music, the candles. Yes, he'd remembered everything. He looked at the clock. She
would be home at any minute.
He had enough time to light the very last candle when he heard her keys turning
in the door. She opened the door to find Jurgen in jack-o-lantern boxer shorts.
"Surprise. Trick or treat?" Jurgen smiled.
Nikita looked around the room and at her adorable lover, and smiled. "You my dear,
are both."
The two spent a wonderful evening sharing the tricks and treats that only two soul
mates and lovers can share.
